A Brief History of the Firm

The firm SBH WATER (formerly SB HYDROTEC) was established in 1994. Its main business activities are the development and production of machines and technologies for use in water management activities and, in particular, for biological wastewater treatment. In co-operation with the firm INVEST PROX, designs have been developed for the construction of a technology for biological wastewater treatment plants named SBH PROX. These designs are available in three size categories – small (from 100 to 5,000 equivalent inhabitants (EI)), medium (size up to 30,000 EI) and large (over 30,000 EI). The technology and construction of these plants are protected by patents and customized design rights. In 2004, our aeration technology – the HKA turbine – was awarded a gold for technology and quality in Geneva.

The Firm's Activities

We have been installing our SBH PROX type treatment plants in the Czech Republic since the year 2000. In 2005, we started co-operating with the Canadian firm GRANDY ENVIRO SERVICES in the field of the biological treatment of contaminated surface and ground waters. Our firms work together to jointly prepare projects for the biological treatment of wastewater using the highly efficient enzymes – GRANDY - UYAMA, – which consist of more than 30 types of purely biological enzymes. This process is called accelerated biodegradation. Our treatment plants are currently being installed and put into operation in a number of different countries.

Commercial Activities

• We supply stirrers and pumps of various output volumes and sizes, according to overall design requirements or standalone orders.
• We manufacture and supply stainless piping systems and technologies for treatment plants.
• We supply sludge presses and centrifuges of various sizes for sludge management.
• We supply SIEMENS electronic control system for treatment plants.
• We supply bio-gas stations for the economic utilization of sludge in treatment plants.
